Day 36 - ‘in-a-minute’
Greetings
St Paul says in 2 Corinthians 2:15 “ For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.” (NKJV)
Today I am asking the question, what effect do we have on our friends, relatives, neighbours and work colleagues?
In 2 Corinthians terms, do we have a Christ-like aroma? Does our faith make us any different to any other person?
The right answer is, ‘yes,’ we have a different joy in our hearts and a different purpose alongside our daily tasks, to know God and make him known, but it is not always that obvious. Do people see Christ in us? Let us think about ways in which we can reach out in our circle of influence, ways in which we can be, for God’s glory, the fragrance of Christ among people today.
Have a good day!
Every blessing,

A Prayer
‘Dear Jesus, help me to spread your fragrance everywhere I go. Flood my soul with your spirit and life. Penetrate and possess my whole being so utterly that my life may only be a radiance of yours. Shine through me and be so in me that every soul I come in contact with may feel your presence in my soul. Let them look up and see no longer me, but only Jesus.’
St Teresa of Calcutta (1910-1997)

A Prayer
O eternal Trinity, You are a deep sea, into which the more I enter the more I find, and the more I find the more I seek… O eternal Godhead, what more could you give me than yourself? You are the fire that ever burns without being consumed; you consume in your heat all the soul’s self-love; you are the fire which takes away cold; with your light, you illuminate me so that I may know all your truth.’ Amen. Catherine of Siena (1347 – 1380):
A Prayer for the Tuesday of Holy Week:
Almighty and everlasting God, who in your tender love towards the human race sent your Son our Saviour Jesus Christ to take upon him our flesh and to suffer death upon the cross: grant that we may follow the example of his patience and humility, and also be made partakers of his resurrection; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, Amen. From Common Worship (C of E).
