Day 29 - ‘in-a-minute’

Greetings

Good morning, British summertime is here, and at last, we can go for scenic walks and drives after work. I know I have mentioned it before but it is important to get that balance between work and leisure (all work and no play makes me a dull boy.)
Genesis 2:2 says, in the beginning… there was rest. It has been part of the creation story because it is for the well-being of all creation. In the Fifth Commandment God declared it ‘holy.’ Rest and play was God’s idea, it’s a good idea.
Do something this evening to take advantage of the lighter nights.

I hope it helps you start the week on a good note.

God Bless

A prayer

In our sickness, O Lord, we come to the divine Physician; in our blindness, to the radiance of eternal light; and in our sinfulness to the fountain of mercy.  With purity of faith and in penitent love we pray for the gift of salvation; through Christ our Lord. Amen
St Thomas Aquinas (1225-1274)

Today Let us pray for:

The NHS - The Minister of Health

NHS England

Your local NHS Trust Hospital

Doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, OTs, Dietitians, Pharmacists and all AHP’s, Social workers teams, Multidisciplinary teams, support staff, and all who work in our hospitals. ( especially the ones I have forgotten to mention!)

For the ministry of healing in the Church

Give thanks for Christ’s power to heal

A verse to help you today;
Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits - who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases. Psalm 103 v2
