Day 28 - ‘in-a-minute’

Greetings

Good morning, it is holiday season coming up and there is a danger that we drift spiritually even though we have more time on our hands.   I have just come back from some time away and sensed that ‘welcome home’ when I got back.  The wonderful thing about our Lord is that we always receive a ‘welcome back’ even if we have drifted for a period.  In Luke 15:11-32, the message of the younger prodigal is God always says welcome home - it’s never, where have you been? The Father runs to embrace us, as if to say ‘welcome back.’
But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him Luke 15:20

I hope you have a good day and a great weekend.

Every Blessing to you,

Kelvin

A Prayer
“Holy Spirit, Lord and giver of life, moving force of all things, root of all creation, purifier of all that lives; remove from us, all that stains our beauty, wipe away all our sins and anoint all our wounds; that, awakened by your Spirit, our lives may shine forth your praise; now and forever. Amen.”
Hildegard of Bingen (1098-1179)

Today Let us pray for:

Moral and spiritual renewal in the nation

Religious Education - those who teach RE and take assemblies in schools.

Church leaders eg Archbishops and denominational leaders.

YFC and YWAM and Church youth organizations

For Christian camps and Christian ‘festivals.’

For the Ukraine crisis and the protection of innocent people

Prayer that was written at the Ravensbruck death camp
O Lord, remember not only the people of goodwill, but those of ill will. But do not remember only the suffering they have inflicted on us, remember the fruits we bore - our comradeship, our loyalty, our humility, the courage, the greatness of heart which has grown out of all this.   Then when they come to judgement let all the fruits that we have borne be their forgiveness.

Keep me from going the wrong way, and in your goodness teach me your law.    Psalm 119 v29
