Day 11 - ‘in-a-minute’

Good Morning

I am going to start by quoting 2 Corinthians 5:20 which sayswe are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!”’
I find this verse so challenging, quite a responsibility. Like a political ambassador who lives abroad representing the interests of their homeland and Lord, this verse reminds us that we represent Jesus and the kingdom of God where we are.
God is making His appeal to the world through His ambassadors, ‘come back to God. (NIV)’
What we say and how we live as Christ's ambassadors will witness to those in our sphere of influence that they need to be reconciled to God through sins forgiven through faith in Christ's death and resurrection.
Pray that we will be good ambassadors for our Lord Jesus today.
Have a great day, God Bless,

Ps Acts 1v8 is a great picture of an ambassador, “You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

A Prayer
Awaken us, O God, to embrace the faith which dies unless it can clothe the naked, feed the hungry, comfort the sorrowful, shelter the destitute, bind up the broken and be all things to all people; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
Menno Simons (1496-1561)

Today Let us pray for:

Armed Forces

Ministry of Defence

Pray for Military Chaplains

Local Emergency Services

Police and Fire and especially our Ambulance Service

Air Ambulance and Sea Rescue

Guide us, O Lord, in all the changes of this uncertain world, which we may live in your peace.   Let us not complain in our troubles, nor grow proud in our prosperity.  With calmness of faith, let us rejoice in the goodness of your perfect will; through Christ our Lord.  Amen   Jeremy Taylor (1613-1667)
