Day 12 - ‘in-a-minute’

Good Morning

Hippocrates (460-377BC) said "Things that are Holy are revealed to people who are Holy"  which is in line with Leviticus 10v3 "to the one who comes near me, I will show myself Holy.” The call to be Holy is seldom preached about today, but it is in our scriptures many times 'Be Holy for I am Holy' (Lev 11v44).  Paul gave us six benchmarks of holiness that will influence our thinking and our actions in Philippians 4:8 ‘Whatever is True, noble, just, pure, lovely, of good report, think on these things.’ As Christians, we have been 'set apart' to imitate and represent our Lord.  As you faithfully do so, the Lord will shine through you today.'

May God Bless you, today

Prayer
Holy Spirit, breathe in us that we may think what is holy.  Attract us that we may love what is holy, and strengthen us that we may guard what is holy; for Jesu’s sake.  Amen.  Augustine of Hippo (354-430)

 A follow on Prayer ….

Lord God, I desire to know you more and be holy because you are holy, reveal more of yourself and your ways to me.  Amen

Today Let us pray for:

Leaders in Industry, Business and Finance

those who hold key positions

for honesty and regard for people’s welfare

For local businesses, (mention those that come to mind)

For your own Christian witness in holiness

Lord before you ever made us, you loved us.  Nor has your love ever slackened, nor ever shall.  In love all your works have been begun, and in love they continue.  In this love our life is everlasting and in this love we shall see you and be glad forever. Amen.
Julian of Norwich (1342 -1416)
