Lake of Tears

£8.00

Lake of Tears is a compelling book with a unique application of God’s partaking in the face of suffering.

Kelvin weaves diary extracts and scripture texts around a well-told autobiography.  It is a story that begins in peaceful times in Northern Ireland and touches on his experience of the ‘Troubles.’   He attributes his resilience and drive to rehabilitate when paralysed in a car accident, to a daily walk with God and to the example of a much-loved teacher caught up in the ‘Troubles.’

The twenty-three-year-old who had it all going for him; the job, the house, sport and faith was transported to the ranks of the disabled when he was pinned beneath a vehicle in Cumbria’s beautiful Lake District.

What happened after that was a series of inspirational encounters with others, similarly struck down, when they received a visit from ‘the chaplain in a wheelchair.’
