Day 5 - ‘in-a-minute’

I did you get excited about the Rugby at the weekend?  Whether you like Rugby or sport in general, we can acknowledge that the dedication to training and self-denial of all these athletes can be a real inspiration to each one of us. My text for today is:

 Hebrews 12:1&2
“Let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

This text can inspire us today to dedicate ourselves to Jesus and persevere. Notice the appeal to us in verse 2 is to focus on Jesus.  It is not our sports heroes who will be on the frontline for the people we meet today, it is you and I who will bring hope and comfort if we look to Jesus.  What a privilege, to serve our Lord and to share his love with others today.
Have a good day, God Bless,
