Day 4 - ‘in-a-minute’

‘Prayer doesn’t equip us for the greater work; prayer is the greater work.’ Oswald Chambers

 Opening prayer

O God, as truly as you are our Father, so just as truly you are our Mother.  We thank you, for your strength and goodness.  We thank you, for the closeness of your caring.  O God, we thank you for the great love you have for each one of us    Julian of Norwich (1342-1416)

I have recently been reading Luke 10:38-42 and it got me thinking about Jesus’ visit to his friends Martha and Mary and how he addressed Martha’s busyness and Mary’s decision to leave the kitchen and be close to Him and receive his word.
It’s not that busyness is bad but it can overwhelm us, we need to spend time in the presence of our Lord, receiving his word and his peace. I hope this helps rather than stresses you out today!

Have a good day, God Bless,
