Indian Summer Update
‘Indian Summer’ Update
I’d like to start with the Book – 'Lake of Tears’, which is now written, and the manuscript has been submitted for advice and to a few publishers for their consideration. I realise it will be a slow process of re-writing parts and reducing it from the 90,000 that I’ve written. I would love to find a publisher who appreciates that I have written it for a non-Christian, as well as a Christian reader – let’s see what happens. I’ll keep you posted (I did wonder if you would like me to post some diary excerpts and a paragraph from the book to see what you think. Let me know by email if that grabs you.)
I have just completed a couple of radio pieces for Big Hits Radio which will be broadcast soon. I will let you know when by email but I have given you a link here as a kind of preview!
They are in the ‘In-a-minute’ tab of the website. The Theme is ‘Doubt.’
I have been publishing sermons and talks on Spotify which I’m told is useful if you are driving or walking and want a word. Search ‘Kelvin Burke’ in Podcasts or click the link here.
I have been posting more sermons, some audio, video and some which are just notes. There are about 100 out there now.
On a personal note, I am pleased to say I am now a grandad. Gracelyn was born in May – that’s Katie and Dylan's first. Chloe isn’t far behind, she is due to have her first in October.
And finally, since I last spoke to you, Ellie, our youngest married Ben in July. It was such a privilege to lead them in their wedding vows.
That’s about it, I hope and pray that these bits and pieces are a useful update.
God Bless,
Kelvin <><
