Day 2 - ‘in a minute’
I have been reading the Parable of a Royal Wedding Banquet again (read it in Matthew 22:1-14). After his people (Israel) failed to respond to his invitation, the king in the parable invited ordinary people like you and I (Gentiles) to attend.
Who wouldn’t like to be invited to a Royal wedding banquet?
I have been honoured to receive an invite to a Royal Garden party and it is very special.
But there’s more to this parable, the King provides a Royal robe for us to wear. That Robe is his righteousness (not our goodness) which Jesus earned for us. In a nutshell, this is his amazing grace we are invited to dine with our King of Kings and Lord of Lords and we are accepted as righteous in his sight. Praise him.
Have a God-blessed day!
