Day 19 - ‘in-a-minute’

Good Morning

There are a lot of pressures around this week; family pressures, pressures of work; pressure to respond to a difficult situation. All this talk of pressure makes me think of Psalm 55v22  “cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you.” That phrase ‘cast your cares’ is repeated by Peter in his first letter (1 Peter 5:7) and it is a firm action word like throw.  Let the cares go, throw them at the Lord. Let us start out today by naming the pressures we face and in prayer throw them to the Lord.

Every blessing to you today

BTW Try and listen to the Guvna B song ‘Cast your cares’ it will bless you.

Prayer
Let our mouths be filled with your praise, O Lord, our songs with the theme of your glory, and may our lives proclaim the beauty of holiness; for you live and reign forever and ever. Amen
John Chrysostom (347-407)

‘The workplace …. is the main mission field in contemporary life - it’s where so many key decisions that affect our lives are made.’ (Mark Greene, London Institute for Contemporary Christianity)

A Prayer for you

We pray for you, deep stillness of the silent places.…. for you, white lace tips of the waves, poised in momentary stillness..…And when you’re tired by the journey  May the refreshing winds of the hovering Spirit smooth and replenish you.  In the name of Christ. Amen. (Wellspring Community, Australia)
